Helicopters - SST-Eagle Freya |
Like its renowned Eagle brother, the Freya is based on a 'unitary' construction system where the engine/fuel tank is in a separate 'module' to the main mechanics/control system . This makes servicing easier, particularly when on the flying field at a competition . The rudder servo is tail mounted allowing the whole rear of the machine to be removed complete, a real boon when using a fuselage! Cyclic controls are fully 'push-pull' to reduce control stop and when combined with the Hirobo's high power collective system you can be sure of sufficient power to perform the most radical manoeuvres . Tail power is transmitted via a split main gear and fine-pitch toothed belt through a high strength 'hexagonal' tail boom to one of the smoothest rear gearboxes around . The ball-raced rear linkages then reduce any control slack to a minimum and allow that confidence boosting 'feel' that you've always yearned for! The latest FFZ-II rotor head, combined with the variable ratio mixing system, offers both high power 3D and super smooth FAI setups with the minimum of effort . A smooth and precision rear gearbox and ball-raced 'W Type' control linkage give the very best in fine yet powerful tail control, even for those radical 720s!
